A private computer, a live browser, and skills: how Ari does real work

Most AI assistants answer. Ari also does the work: on a private computer in the cloud, in a real browser you can watch, and with skills Ari installs when a job needs one.

Answers are the easy part

Ask most assistants to renew a parking permit and you get instructions. The work is still yours: open the site, sign in, fill the form, keep the receipt. Ari's computer, browser, and skills exist so Ari can do those steps, while you stay in charge of anything that spends money or submits.

A private computer in the cloud

Every Ari account has a private cloud computer. Ari uses it to run code, build a site or a small app, research a question in depth with a cited answer, and handle files: fill and sign a PDF, make or edit Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files, and convert photos and video. Long jobs keep going between messages, so you can text Ari about something else while one runs.

Files stay on the computer in Library → Files, where you can open, download, upload, rename, or delete them. One Working on card in the web chat shows every job with its newest step and a Stop button.

A live browser you can watch and take over

Ari drives a real browser to check stock, prices, and hours, book tables, fill out forms, and check order status in your accounts. Logins fill from your private vault without the AI ever seeing the password.

Watch live in the web chat, or open the tap-to-watch link Ari sends on iMessage, Discord, or Telegram. Take control with one tap for a step you want to do yourself, then hand the browser back. Before Ari buys, sends, or submits anything, you confirm it, and the confirmation shows the exact amount and recipient.

Skills: Ari learns what the job needs

Ask Ari for a skill and Ari searches the open skills.sh library by keyword, then installs the one you pick in seconds. Every skill gets an automatic safety scan before it is saved, and a skill the scan refuses is never saved. Ari can also write a new skill from your description, and pause, resume, or update the skills you have.

Skills with scripts run on Ari's computer. Add one from a GitHub link or a zip file on the Skills page, approve the exact files, and Ari can run it in a computer task. Change the files and the skill needs your approval again.

Almost any app, with your own keys

Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Tasks, Google Drive, Todoist, and Notion have native integrations. For other apps with an API, save the app's API key on your Passwords page, where it is encrypted in your private vault. When a script in a computer task needs the key, Ari asks first: allow once, always, or deny. The key goes to that one program and is never shown in the chat.

A skill can teach Ari how to use that app well, and the script does the calls. Apps with no API get the live browser instead. Keys work inside computer tasks, and Ari does not connect to MCP servers.

How the three work together

Say you want a report from a tool your team uses. A skill tells Ari how the tool's API works, a script on Ari's computer pulls the numbers with your saved key, and Ari builds the report as a file in Library → Files. If one figure only shows on the tool's website, the browser fetches it while you watch.

What the paid plan includes

The paid plan includes computer tasks with no monthly cap under fair use: a single very large task stops when it reaches its limit and you can pick it back up, and after a very heavy day you can continue the next day. Storage is 20 GB.

The live browser includes up to 2 hours a day of Ari working on real sites, and time you spend in control yourself does not count.

Without a subscription, your first 100 messages include computer tasks to try and up to 30 minutes a day of browser time, with 2 GB of storage. After that, computer and browser tasks are part of the paid plan. Installing and writing skills stays open on both plans.

Frequently asked questions

Does every Ari account get a private computer?

Yes. Every account has a private cloud computer with 2 GB of storage, or 20 GB on the paid plan. Computer tasks are part of the paid plan once your first 100 messages are used.

Can Ari work with apps that have no integration?

Yes, in two ways. Save the app's API key on your Passwords page and allow it, and a script on Ari's computer can call the app's API, often guided by a skill. For sites without an API, Ari uses the live browser while you can watch.

Are computer tasks and the browser unlimited on the paid plan?

Computer tasks have no monthly cap under fair use: a single very large task stops when it reaches its limit and you can pick it back up, and after a very heavy day you can continue the next day. The live browser includes up to 2 hours a day of Ari working.

Will Ari buy or submit something without asking?

No. Ari asks you to confirm before buying, sending, or submitting anything, and the confirmation shows the exact amount and recipient.
